PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent spot welding traces generated when a reinforcing member is spot-welded on the lower face of a shelf plate from breadthwise remaining on the upper face of the shelf plate and enable the number of the reinforcing members to be employed to be easily changed according to the strength of the shelf plate in need of reinforcement. SOLUTION: In the structure for fixing the reinforcing member 10 onto the shelf plate 7 in a showcase, the shelf plate 7 is supported by a pair of right and left brackets retained on retaining holes provided in a row on right and left stands vertically mounted and comprises a shelf plate body 8, side plate members 9 fixed on right and left ends of the body 8 and the reinforcing member 10 breadthwise fixed on the lower face of the body 8 via the side plate members 9. A pair of right and left side plate members 9 are fixed on the lower face of the body 8 in a state that the side plate members 9 engages with both of the right and left ends of the reinforcing member 10 respectively.
