<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a splint material which can prevent a curing resin held in a base material from flowing into a covering layer, and can be dealt with bare hands, wearing no gloves, from the outside of the covering layer. <P>SOLUTION: A core layer 5 including a curing resin 3 held in a base material 4 is laid over a skin contact layer 2 which is to protect the skin surface having a lesion. The top of the core layer 5 is covered with a covering layer 6 which is not responsive to the curing resin 3, and has pores 7 for allowing curing factors such as water, light, and heat to pass through. The covering layer 6, integrally formed of a nonwoven, nonmesh material impermeable to the curing resin 3, with at least 1.4 mm in thickness, protects hands from the direct contact with the curing resin 3 in dealing with the splint material 1 which is to be applied to the lesion, with the side of the skin contact layer 2 facing it, by holding the covering layer 6 from outside with bare hands. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
