<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a torque ripple caused by the structure of a motor occurs in addition to the torque ripple caused by a transmission system in the case of an image forming apparatus using the DC motor. <P>SOLUTION: When determining a diameter D1 of a photoreceptor, a phase number KS1 of a DC brushless motor, its magnet pole number MS1, and a rotation ratio I1 of the photoreceptor drum to the DC motor, each parameter value is set so that it is PC1≤0.4 since image banding pitches of the photoreceptor drum is represented as PC1=D1×I1×π/(KS1×MS1). Thereby, a strength of the banding pitches caused by the motor is within a range hardly exceeding an allowable level of perception. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
