PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce the strength of the connection of mutual pipes regarding a method for connecting the pipes made of a synthetic resin. SOLUTION: In the method for connecting the pipes made of the synthetic resin, stepped section 3 projected from outer peripheries at the end sections of the pipes made of the synthetic resin are formed. In the method, end faces are abutted mutually in the stepped sections 3 and the pipes 1 and 2 are connected mutually while connecting members 5 and 5 being covered to the abutting sections astride over both opposite stepped sections 3 and 3, being engaged with the end faces of the stepped sections in the engaging sections of the end sections and preventing the mutual separations of the pipes are disposed.
