PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staple fiber to which a germanium component is attached by a simple process and a low-cost method, and which has excellent effects for promoting the health, therapeutic effects or the like; to provide an intermediate product such as a spun yarn, a woven fabric, a knitted fabric and a nonwoven fabric using the staple as a material; and to provide various kinds of fiber products using them. SOLUTION: The staple fiber is obtained by attaching germanium component-containing fine particles to a staple fiber by treating the germanium-containing particles and the staple fiber under a high-speed rotation in a staple fiber-preparing steps such as opening and mixing.
