The invention relates to a method for controlling and adjusting a wind turbine comprising a machine housing that can be displaced by an azimuth angle, at least one rotor blade that can be displaced about its longitudinal axis and a power supply for a spin mode. Said method comprises the following steps: a control unit determines an angular position for the machine housing and one or more displacement angles for the rotor blade or blades from measured values (v) for the wind speed and the wind direction; if a measured wind speed exceeds a predetermined speed value (v1<*>, v2<*>), at least one azimuth drive that is fed by the power supply displaces the machine housing into the angular position ( alpha ) that has been determined by the control unit and at least one pitch drive that is fed by the power supply displaces the rotor blade or blades into the angular position ( phi ) that has been determined by the control unit.
