<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translation television receiver capable of generating caption information from received audio information even when no caption information is included in a received signal and generating audio information and caption information in a user's skilled language from the received audio information even when the audio information and the caption information in the user's skilled language are not included in the received signal. <P>SOLUTION: The translation television receiver includes: a reception section for receiving video information and audio information; a composite purpose video information generating section for using the video information received by the reception section for composite video information; a composite purpose audio information generating section for using the audio information received by the reception section for composite audio information; a conversion section for converting the composite purpose audio information generated by the composite purpose audio information generating section into audio conversion information; and an output information generating section for composing the audio conversion information converted by the conversion section with the composite video information generated by the composite purpose video information generating section to provide an output of output information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
