<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological signal detecting device for applying light to a subject or an irradiated body and detecting and measuring the state of the subject or irradiated body based on the transmitted light and reflected light, capable of obtaining an accurate result of measurement by starting the measurement with the subject placed at a prescribed position. <P>SOLUTION: The device starts a measuring/displaying process of pulses and the oxygen saturation degrees by the biological signal detection process when determines that the subject 10 is inserted into the prescribed position, an appropriate measuring position inside a probe 1, and that a measurement button 3 is switched on. If the state of the measurement button 3 is changed from on to off, it is determined that the subject 10 is displaced or pulled out, and the measuring process is terminated and the termination is announced. Accordingly, the measuring process is carried out only when the subject 10 is properly located at the prescribed measuring position, so that an accurate result of measurement can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
