PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arm rest which enables the protection of occupants at vehicle side collision. SOLUTION: An arm rest 3 comprising a support part 4 provided in a console part 2 passing between seats and an arm rest part 5 turnably provided in the support part 4 is mounted on a floor surface 1 in a mounting structure of the arm rest. A pair of mounting bases 7, 8 to be mounted on the floor surface 1 with bolts 13 are formed counter to the floor surface 1 with intervals in the front and rear directions of a vehicle in the support part 4. Bolt insertion holes 9, 10, 11, 12 for passing the bolts 13 are formed in the mounting bases 7, 8. Bitten holes 15 which allow biting of the bolts 13 in the vehicle width direction are formed in the bolt insertion holes 9, 10, 11, 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
