PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release film extremely decreased in an amount of an oligomer deposited thereon, suitably used in, for example, producing an LCD component part, including a liquid crystal polarizing plate and a phase-shifting plate, producing a DPD component part, producing a display component part of every kind, including an organic EL component part, and suitably used as a film for optical use of very kind. SOLUTION: This release film is formed by sequentially applying a coated layer and a release layer to one of surfaces of the polyester film at least uniaxially stretched, wherein an organic compound (A) containing a titanium element or a zirconium element is contained in the coated layer.
