PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device with a winder installed in a shaft and a driving sheave having a side face opposed to the wall face of the shaft for allowing easy vibration absorbing operation. SOLUTION: The winder 10 is arranged between the wall face of the shaft 1 and a car on a horizontal projection plane, and the driving sheave 11 is arranged facing the wall face of the shaft 1. Vibration absorbers 13 are provided on a mount 8 fixed to a fixture 6 of the shaft 1 and the winder 10, respectively, between the upper and lower parts of their opposed faces, and the winder 10 is supported on the mount 8. Thus, the required vibration absorbing operation of the winder 10 is easily obtained. Torque on the winder 10 is supported by the horizontal rigidity of the vibration absorber 13. The winder 10 is mounted on the mount 8 without any trouble, and noises and vibration are reduced in a building in which the shaft 1 is installed during operating the elevator to achieve quiet environment.
