<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing, at a low cost, a magnetostrictive material which is fine and dense in texture and high in mechanical strength. <P>SOLUTION: An alloy of Tb<SB>0.3</SB>Dy<SB>0.7</SB>Fe<SB>2</SB>is powdered, and after being mixed with an epoxy resin, a mixture obtained is pressed to form a compact, and this compact is heated to harden the epoxy resin. Thereby, the magnetostrictive material consisting of Tb<SB>0.3</SB>Dy<SB>0.7</SB>Fe<SB>2</SB>combined with the epoxy resin is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
