PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability and durability of shift operation of a transmission. SOLUTION: The transmission 1 rotates a shift barrel 50 every time a shift lever 60 is operated, performs moving control of a plurality of selector rods 71 to 73 engaged with trailing tracks 51, 52 installed on the shift barrel 50, and performs the shift operation of a plurality of speed change gears 20 by a clutch manipulator connected to each of the selector rods 71 to 73 one by one. Then a leading track 53, with which a shift manipulator of the shift lever 60 is engaged, is installed on the shift barrel 50, and the shift barrel 50 is made rotatable through the leading track 53 every time the shift lever 60 is operated.
