PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camcorder capable of realizing miniaturization and cost reduction. SOLUTION: The camcorder is provided with a display device on one side face. The display device and a camcorder body are coupled by a ball joint. The ball of the ball joint is on the display device side. A housing is on the camcorder body side. The display device is capable of opening/closing operation and rotation operation. A groove is formed to a part of the ball of the ball joint. A detection switch is mounted to the camcorder body.
