The present invention relates to a new therapeutic use of a fermented wheat germ extract under the trade name Avemar(R), more specifically to use of Avemar(R) for the manufacture of a medicament useful as anti-inflammatory agent for preventing or treating or alleviating inflammatory conditions, particularly arthritis.
