The invention is separately fitted on the tow hook ball and is locked in combination with the application of a lock secured on the tow hook ball. #CMT# : #/CMT# In this way, opening of the rear door or boot is only very limitedly possible, preventing an undesired access to the interior of the vehicle. The protection takes the form of a valve incorporating a support component (1) and arms (2,3) each formed by a hinge plug (4,5) and a profiled tube (6,7) welded to the hinge plug. The hinge plugs are hingeable around a shaft (8) connected to the support component. The hinge plugs are provided with a hole on one side and are connected with bars (11,12) by means of shafts (9,10).
