A spreading agent for agricultural chemicals, said spreading agent comprising at least one of the glycerol-modified silicone represented by the following formula (1), (2) or (3), wherein R¹ can the the same with or different from each other and is selected from the group consisting of alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, and fluorinated alkyl groups each having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, p is an integer of from 1 to 3, q is an integer of 1 or 2, and r is an integer of from 0 to 6.
