<p>The invention relates to a crown for a timepiece, comprising a disengaging device which is intended to prevent the components of the movement of the timepiece in which it is used from being damaged. For said purpose, the crown (1) is equipped with a housing (28) which is intended to house, for example, an hour wheel (11) to which one end of a winding stem is connected and which bears at least one spring (4) and a rigid ring (15) which is solidly connected to the crown and which comprises notches (16) that are designed to co-operate with the spring (4). During normal use, the rotation of the crown causes the hour wheel, and consequently the winding stem, to rotate by means of the rigid ring and the spring. However, with the use of the inventive device, when the mechanical resistance to the opposite direction of rotation by the winding stem, via the hour wheel, exceeds a pre-defined threshold, the spring deforms and is no longer rotated by the rigid ring. As a result, the winding stem is no longer rotated in said conditions.</p> |
