PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic lock control method and an electronic lock system capable of effectively preventing a crime by timely unlocking and locking a lock in response to a user or a state. SOLUTION: An electronic key and a mechanical key for electromagnetically recording user ID are used as a key of the electronic lock system. The electronic lock system monitors an object approaching a door knob 4 by the detecting function F2, and tries reading of the user ID of the electronic key EK in a noncontact state by the radiocommunication function F3 when detecting the object approaching the door knob 4, and investigates whether or not user information corresponding to the user ID is registered in the user information storage function F6 when succeeding in reading of the user ID, and unlocks the lock 6 by electronic control when the user information exists and its information permits lock operation by the electronic key EK.
