<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting method and a melting furnace separating gas containing unburned combustibles from solids containing unburned combustibles discharged from a gasification melting furnace, burning the gas containing unburned combustibles in a combustion furnace, and turning the solids containing unburned combustibles into slag in a reducing atmosphere in a swirl melting furnace. <P>SOLUTION: In the melting method, gas containing unburned combustibles discharged from a gasification is separated into char and exhaust gas by a cyclone, the separated gas is burned in a combustion furnace, heat of exhaust gas after combustion is recovered by a boiler, and ash generated during combustion is melted in a melting furnace connected to a connecting part lower part of the combustion furnace and the boiler. The char separated by the cyclone is blown in as a swirl along a melting furnace inner wall, and the slag is produced in a reducing atmosphere in the melting furnace. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
