摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the relative positions of an a electrooptical panel and a casing easily adjustable with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The electrooptical panel P 1 has a first substrate 11 formed with flat alignment marks 24 in regions on an outer side of a display region 151 arrayed with a plurality of pixels. The casing C is arranged to face the first substrate 11 and has an approximately frame-shaped frame member 41 whose inner peripheral edge 41a surrounds the display region 151. Notches 411 are formed in the positions corresponding to the alignment marks 24 of the frame member 41. The relative positional relations between the electrooptical panel P 1 and the casing C are so adjusted as to align the notches 411 and the alignment marks 24 to each other while the alignment marks 24 of the electrooptical panel P 1 are observed via the notches 411 of the casing C.
