PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motoring device for motoring-operating an engine for AT without using any dummy clutch and motoring-operating an engine for MT without performing component replacement work, etc. SOLUTION: In the case of the engine 100 for MT, a slide part 41 of a drive part 6 for AT is moved to a refuge position, then, a moving part 3 is made to progress, and a drive shaft part 31 rotating integrally with a drive shaft 21 rotatably supported on the moving part 3 is engagingly inserted into a boss hole 108a. In the case of the engine for AT, a slide part 41 provided in a rotatable manner integrally with a drive shaft 21 is moved to a projecting position, then, a moving part 3 is made to progress, and a drive pin 46 provided on the slide part 41 is engagingly inserted into a torque converter mounting hole 113 in a drive plate 112 for AT.
