This invention relates to a service method using a camera of a handheld Terminal that is adaptive for receiving fortune information in real time by use of a camera attached to the handheld terminal. A service method using a camera of a handheld terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention includes certifying user's membership; selecting a first menu in order to select a fortune information which the users desires ; transimitting a photograph ; generating an image code by use of the transmitted photograph ; deriving a fortune information for the image code ; selecting a second menu in order to select the user's desired fortune information among the derived fortune information ; selecting a third menu in order to select the amount of the fortune information selected by the second menu selection step ; paying the charge of the fortune information selected by the second and third menu selection steps ; and transmitting to the handheld terminal of the user the fortune information of which the payment is settled. According to the present invention, a user can be provided with a fortune Information in real time because the fortune information is provided in accordance with the taken face photograph after taking the face photograph of a person which wishes to receive the fortune information by use of the camera attached to the handheld terminal. And, the user can be provided with more accurate fortune information because the fortune is provided in accordance with the face photograph of the person who wants the fortune information of as much as the desired amount by the selection of the user, thus the interest of the user can be attracted for the fortune information service.
