The device has a mask (3) that masks a part of a camera field which is covered by a sensor (1) e.g. charge coupled device (CCD) sensor. The mask has an opacification zone (4) placed on a transparent plate and is disposed directly with respect to the sensor. The zone (4) of the mask darkens a part of the field comprising a strong luminous or strong reflective object, so that a less luminous zone is viewed. An independent claim is also included for an aircraft having an image acquisition device.
