DOOR OPENING AND CLOSING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably operate a door opening and closing mechanism without causing situation in which weight is markedly increased.

SOLUTION: This door opening and closing device is provided with a motor bracket 30 covering a driving shaft 11 of a driving motor 10 to hold the driving motor 10 on a support bracket 1 and an output shaft 51 arranged toward the support bracket 1 in a manner that it crosses the direction of extension of the driving shaft 11 from the motor bracket 30. A worm wheel 50 linked to the driving shaft 11 of the driving motor 10 is arranged on the output shaft 51, a rotor 53 linked to the door opening and closing mechanism is arranged between the worm wheel 50 and the support bracket 1 on the output shaft 51, and a stator 52 supporting rotation of the output shaft 51 is held on the support bracket 1 to constitute an electromagnetic clutch means. When an armature 55 of the worm wheel 50 and the rotor 53 are mutually joined by driving the stator 52, the door opening and closing mechanism is operated by driving the driving motor 10.
