PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small wiper capable of efficiently wiping the front part of a monitor camera mounted to a vehicle. SOLUTION: The wiper 4 is directly mounted to rear glass 3 or the body of an automobile, and wipes the rear glass 3 in front of a CCD camera. The wiper 4 has an actuator section 11 and a driving circuit section 12. The actuator section 11 has a rotary shaft 14, and a drive body 15 that is fixed to the rotary shaft 14 and has a built-in piezoelectric element. The drive body 15 is provided with a blade section 15b contacting with a surface 3a of the rear glass 3. A rotation resistance force is applied to the rotary shaft 14 by a pressurizing spring 23. When a voltage of sawtooth waveform is applied to the piezoelectric element, the drive body performs a reciprocation wiping operation on a wiped surface.
