PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an "FM receiver" which can always assure the fixed amount of separation. SOLUTION: The FM receiver includes a phase displacement detector 32 for detecting the amount of the phase shift of a pilot signal included in a stereophonic composite signal obtained by an FM detection, an L/R separator 36 which separates an L signal and an R signal included in a stereo composite signal and which can set the amounts of separation of the L signal and the R signal, and a separation corrector 34 for changing the amount of separation of the L/R separator 36 so that the amount of separation becomes a predetermined value by judging the amount of separation at a present time point in the L/R separator 36 based on the amount of phase displacement detected by the phase displacement detector 32.
