VISIBLE LIGHT TRANSPARENT STRESS LUMINESCENT COMPOSITE MATERIAL, WATER RESISTANT STRESS LUMINESCENT INORGANIC PARTICLE AND THEIR MANUFACTURING PROCESSES AND APPLICATIONS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stress luminescent composite material which is made transparent to the visible light region by making an adequate surface treatment to a stress luminescent inorganic particle having a particle size smaller than the wavelengths of visible light so that it can uniformly be dispersed in a polymer material, a stress luminescent inorganic particle to which water resistance is imparted by surface treatment and their manufacturing processes and typical applications. SOLUTION: The stress luminescent composite material contains at least a stress luminescent inorganic particle and a polymer material. The inorganic particle has a particle size not greater than the wavelengths of visible light and is surface-treated, which makes it possible to obtain the stress luminescent composite material transparent to the visible light region.
