PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily acquire failure contents and a failure recovery procedure of a computer device. SOLUTION: In the case where an OS does not start up, and a failure such as unsuccessful connection to a network occurs in the computer device, image information is captured from the computer device using a portable telephone device which a maintenance person operates. This information is then converted into character information, and the converted information is transmitted to a failure recovery procedure server connected via the network. The failure recovery procedure server extracts failure contents and a failure recovery procedure manual from a failure recovery procedure manual database based on the input character information, and transmits them to the portable terminal device.
