PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a crime prevention in a community by effectively utilizing information that each family acquires, owns and manages in individual monitoring areas and information of another monitoring area through a network. SOLUTION: This monitoring system is provided with: a camera 11 which picks up images of objects in the individual monitoring areas; and a PC 10 which stores the images picked up with the camera 11 in an image storage part by condition setting of individual setting conditions, requests the images of the objects in other monitoring areas to other systems via the network, retrieves an image to be stored in the image storage part and transmits the image to other systems according to requests of the images of the objects of the individual monitoring areas from other systems through the network. Then the PC 10 is connected to other systems throgh the network to be made correspond to the conditional setup of the individual setting conditions. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
