PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus achieving a larger number of pixels and miniaturization, in particular, miniaturization in the depth direction. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is equipped with: a zoom lens system 1 which comprises a plurality of groups and changes magnifications by varying intervals of the groups; and a plurality of imaging elements 30 which separate colors in the beam from the zoom lens system by a color separation optical system PR and converts the optical images of separated colors into electric signals. The zoom lens system includes at least one reflective member to bend the optical axis by about 90 degrees. The color separation optical system separates colors onto a plane perpendicular to a plane made by the optical axis of the light entering the zoom lens system and by the optical axis of the light after reflected on the reflective member.
