<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for nitrous acid type nitrification treatment and a waste water treating apparatus by which variation of nitrification performance due to heating treatment for recovering nitrification activity of a nitrous acid type nitrification carrier can be made small and thereby stable nitrification treatment can be performed, which are suitable to obtain water to be subjected to water treatment of anaerobic ammonia oxidation process and also suitable for common biological denitrification treatment and further by which an apparatus of heating treatment can be made compact. <P>SOLUTION: When nitrous acid type nitrification treatment for nitrifying ammonia in ammonia-containing waste water to nitrous acid is performed in a nitrification tank 12 in which a lot of nitrous acid type nitrification carriers 20, where ammonium oxidizing bacteria for nitrifying ammonia to nitrous acid are preferentially deposited, are charged, a part of whole carrying amount of the nitrous acid type nitrification carriers 20 in the nitrification tank 12 is periodically drawn out to heating treatment and then is returned to the nitrification tank 12. Thereby nitrification activity of the nitrous acid type nitrification carrier 20 is recovered and further amount of drawing out of the nitrification tank 12 per a day is controlled within a range of 0.5 to 2.5% of the whole carrying amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
