PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous polymer mixture of which the solution is increased in viscosity by heating, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This aqueous polymer mixture comprises a mixture of an aqueous polymer which is obtained by polymerizing acrylamide (b) and a reactive surfactant (c) having a reactive double bond in its molecule in the presence of a polyoxyalkylene polyol (a1) in an aqueous medium and the polyoxyalkylene polyol (a2), wherein the water-based solution of the mixture is increased in the viscosity by the heating. The method for producing the aqueous polymer mixture comprises polymerizing the acrylamide (b) and the reactive surfactant (c) having the reactive double bond in its molecule in the presence of the polyoxyalkylene polyol (a1) in the aqueous medium and obtaining the aqueous polymer mixture of which the water-based solution is increased in the viscosity by the heating.
