In its broadest aspect there is described a process for enriching hydrogen comprising performing a hydrocarbon synthesis process, isolating a hydrogen-depleted stream therefrom and isolating hydrogen from hydrogen-depleted stream by contacting it with a first reverse-selective membrane and a second-reverse selective membrane. Preferably a hydrogen-depleted stream from Fischer-Tropsch products, preferably C1-C5 gaseous HCs, CO2, CO and H2O are passed through a first-reverse selective membrane where hydrogen is collected as the retentate and carbon dioxide as a permeate. The hydrogen retentate is subject to the water-gas shift reaction and a resulting hydrogen stream is passed through a second-reverse selective membrane. The resulting hydrogen in the retentate of the second-reverse membrane is further enriched by a pressure swing absorption unit. Preferably the process is an integrated Fischer-Tropsch process.
