摘要 This invention relates to drying thermo-labile materials, mostly sunflower seed and higher reproduction grain, and for cooling and ventilation of seed and grain in the process of keeping, heating before sowing after winter keeping, and can be used in agriculture, in food and chemical industries. The seed drying is performed in pseudo-rarified layer at porosity of the layer 0.7 û 0.75 and temperature of drying agent 60-70 DEGREE C, with leveling the flow of the drying agent due to installation of diffuser with separating walls with angle of divergence not more than 12 DEGREE and grate system with increasing resistance by motion of the flow; at that the resistance of each grate is to be not larger than critical value. The appliance for seed drying has heating-blow unit, separation channel with vertical branching sections provided with gates and connected to the bottoms of the removable drying containers. In the unit, between the gate and the working chamber of the drying container distribution unit is installed, this is arranged as central inlet branch pipe and system of flat grate installed in tandem, at distance one from another being 15-20 % of the diameter of the drying chamber of the container; at that the live cross-section of each next grate is smaller than the previous one, and the central outlet branch pipe is arranged as diffuser with separation walls installed with angle of divergence not larger than 12 DEGREE . This invention provides increase of heat exchange between the seed and the drying agent, uniformity of heating and drying seed, decrease of drying time.
