PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely and stably locate the short-circuiting fault point between T-phase and F-phase in a parallel feeder section, without being affected by the cross current, short-circuit resistance, power supply impedance, or the like. SOLUTION: A power supply 1A supplies current I14 to an incoming line 5 and supplies a current I13 to an outgoing line 6. A power supply 1B supplies a current I12 to the incoming line 5 and supplies a current I11 to the outgoing line 6; the power supplies 1A, 1B have source impedances 7A, 7B, and the incoming line 5 has a line impedance 8; and the outgoing line 6 has line impedances 9, 10 at both the sides of a short-circuit point, and has short-circuit resistance 11 in between the short-circuit point. In this configuration, the total length of the incoming and outgoing lines 5, 6 is set to D(km); and defining the short-circuiting point to be located at a distance of X(km) from the line connection point of a substation A, X can be obtained from the fault point locating expression: X=D ¾(I11+I14)/(I11+I13)¾.
