Magnetite sample separator assembly for central heating system with hot water and steam circuit

A central heating unit has a steam/water heat supply network from which magnetite is removed by a sample separator assembly. The assembly consists of a cylinder with a sealed base and closed by a screw cap incorporating a number of permanent magnets. The top one third of the cylinder has a first sample inlet to a tube that diverges sharply. The cap closure has a defined separation from the permanent magnets. The second drill hole is linked to a sample outlet pipe around the cylinder inner wall. The cylinder has a third dill hole that is an air bleed hole. The cylinder is of transparent polyvinyl chloride or stainless steel. The cylinder is about 250 mm high and 100 mm in diameter. The cap screw closure has an inner thread.
