PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve space-saving and efficient wiring of a printed wiring board and a controlling means with a microcomputer with less number of input-output sections so that the printed wiring board is made small and inexpensive in a rice cooker having the controlling means to control a heating means which has two or more types of programs to heat a pot. SOLUTION: The rice cooker is so constituted that the heating means 1 to heat the pot is driven by a driving means 2, a key input means 3 which is comprised of two or more keys and a display means 4 to display the information on devices are disposed, the driving means 2 is controlled by the controlling means 5 having the two or more types of programs, and the information from a program switching means 6 which switches the program by a connection condition of an element is detected by a program switching detecting means 7, wherein an input section to the program switching detecting means 7 is made to be common use with an input section from the other component to the controlling means 5 or an output section from the controlling means 5 to the other component.
