<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermo-siphon enabling a reduction in vertical dimension by reducing the sealed amount of a working fluid. <P>SOLUTION: This thermo-siphon comprises first evaporation chambers 11a evaporating the working fluid by a heat absorbing unit 10 and disposed at the lower part of the heat absorbing unit 10 and second evaporation chambers 11b and a plurality of evaporation chambers 11b disposed at the upper part of the heat absorbing unit 10. The first evaporation chambers 11a are allowed to communicate with the second evaporation chambers 11b so that the working fluid in the first evaporation chambers 11a can be moved from the first evaporation chambers 11a to the second evaporation chambers 11b. Accordingly, a heat released from a heating element A can be sufficiently absorbed by the working fluid of such an amount filling the first evaporation chambers 11a in the first evaporation chamber 11a and the second evaporation chamber 11b, and a heat radiation unit 20 is disposed at the approximately same height as the heat absorbing unit 10 to reduce the height dimension of the thermo-siphon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
