PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiring device capable of using a telephone receptacle with a high efficiency independently of a connection system with a communication apparatus. SOLUTION: The wiring device provided with a subscriber line connection terminal 50 connected to a cable 52 of a subscriber line 5 is compatible with a connection system connected to a communication unit group 2 with a function of dividing the subscriber line connected to a line terminal 22 into a telephone line and a LAN line and respectively connecting them to a telephone terminal 23 and a LAN terminal 26. When the wiring device adopts the connection system above, the wiring device is provided with: a communication unit connection terminal 10 connected to the line terminal 22; a telephone line connection terminal 11 connected to the telephone receptacle 40 installed in a room and connected to the telephone terminal 23 in the case of adopting the connection system above; and a changeover switch (means) 3, the changeover switch 3 connects the subscriber line connection terminal 50 to the communication unit connection terminal 10 in the case the connection form adopts the connection system above, or the changeover switch 3 connects the subscriber connection terminal 50 to the telephone line connection terminal 11 when the connection form does not adopts the connection system above.
