PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of inspecting a porous structure allowing easy inspection of pore characteristics (porosity, average pore diameter, total pore volume) of the porous structure by inspecting a weight of a molding molded, dried and worked into a prescribed dimension, without requiring any special device and technique, and allowing easy performing of a total inspection. SOLUTION: A relation between each of the pore characteristics of a fired object obtained by firing a molded/dried molding having a prescribed shape, and the weight of the molding is measured preliminarily, and a specification value of the each pore characteristic of the fired object, and a specification value of the weight of the formed object are set, and the pore characteristics of the fired object are inspected thereafter from the weight of the formed object, based on the respective specification values.
