PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which is possible to detect and identify a region of abnormal tissue in a body by using intensity of autofluorescence of tissue. SOLUTION: This imaging device is provided with a light source to emit excitation light containing a plurality of wavelengths generating proper autofluorescence relating to normal tissue and abnormal tissue, an irradiation means for irradiating the tissue with light including the excitation light and exciting the tissue so as to generate proper auto fluorescence, a collecting means to collect the autofluorescence generated from the tissue, an exposing means to expose the autofluorescence into a spectrum band where the self-fluorescence intensity of an abnormal tissue is essentially different from that of a normal tissue and a spectral band where the self-fluorescence intensity of an abnormal tissue is essentially the same as that of a normal tissue, an optical means to cut off the exposed autofluorescence and form at least two autofluorescence images of the above tissue and a display means to display the obtained images so as to discriminate the normal tissue and the abnormal tissue.
