PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a reagent for measuring hardness capable of discoloring measured water sharply in the vicinity of control hardness. SOLUTION: This reagent contains a pigment selected from a group of eriochrome black T (EBT) and calmagite, triethanolamine, a glycol compound and an alkali metal salt of a chelating reagent.
