Seal for a scroll fluid machine

In a scroll fluid machine, a stationary scroll and an orbiting scroll are provided. On the stationary scroll (2) opposing the orbiting scroll, an annular groove (1) is formed. An O-ring (3), a flexible support ring (4) and a sliding member (6) are put in the annular groove (1). The support ring (4) has legs (5) between which the O-ring (3) is held. The sliding member (6) in sliding contact with the annular groove (1) is placed on the support ring (4), thereby decreasing deterioration and keeping stable sealing.
