PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method using a double-side type heat developable photosensitive material, and to particularly provide an image forming method using a double-side type heat developable photosensitive material having improved photographic properties. SOLUTION: In the image forming method in which the heat developable photosensitive material having, on both sides of a support, an image forming layer including at least a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent for silver ions and a binder, is heated by a heating means after image exposure to form images, photographic properties of a surface and a back side of the heat developable photosensitive material are mutually different.
