CRYSTALLINE LAYERED DOUBLE HYDROXIDE POWDER, ITS PRODUCING METHOD, FORMED ARTICLE, AND METHOD FOR IMMOBILIZING HARMFUL SUBSTANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystalline layered double hydroxide powder which has high anion adsorption effect and performs ion-exchanges with a target anion; and to provide a method for producing the same, a formed article, and a method for immobilizing harmful substances.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the crystalline layered double hydroxide powder includes a process for forming a precipitate by mixing at one stroke an acidic solution containing a divalent metal cation and a trivalent metal cation and an alkaline solution containing an alkali or by mixing at one stroke an acidic solution containing a divalent metal cation and an alkaline solution containing a trivalent metal cation, under a condition free from carbonic acid, and a process for immediately drying the precipitate and pulverizing. Thereby, the crystalline layered double hydroxide powder having a small crystal size and excellent anion exchange function can be produced without being carbonated.
