<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device with which outline noise of animation is minimized regardless of the high and the low of APL and with which generation of flicker is prevented and to provide its driving method. <P>SOLUTION: The plasma display apparatus includes a calculation unit for calculating an average picture level of an input picture, a sub-field mapping unit for mapping data of the input picture to a first sub-field group and a second sub-field group, and a controller for controlling the distance between the data mapped to the first sub-field group and the data mapped to the second sub-field group according to the average picture level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
