<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic coating, a magnetic layer, a thermal transfer laminate and a magnetic recording medium in which the dispersion property of barium ferrite powder is made excellent, and a non-chlorine vinyl resin is used to maintain a structure after orientation up to a magnetic layer drying path. <P>SOLUTION: In a magnetic coating with a little magnetic powder dispersed in an organic solvent solution of a binder resin, the magnetic coating is used in which the binder resin has a molecule structure wherein no chlorine atom is contained, and contains a polyurethane resin and an acryl resin copolymerizing a radical polymerizing monomer containing monomers each including hydrophilic polar groups inside a molecule in 30 to 40 mass% to all the monomers, and the magnetic powder is barium ferrite powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
