PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque interrupter in which a dog clutch is easily coupled and hardly uncoupled, and degradation of the strength can be suppressed. SOLUTION: In the torque interrupter 1 in which the interlocking interruption of the rotation of a relatively rotatable rotary shaft 3 and gears 5, 7 is performed by engagement/disengagement of protruding teeth 15, 17 facing each other of dog clutches 11, 13, the projecting teeth 15, 17 of the dog clutches 11, 13 are formed irregular in height at every predetermined interval in the circumferential direction, and inclined faces 31, 33 which are inclined from a tip side to the inner side in the wall thickness direction on a dedendum side are formed in engagement faces of the protruding teeth 15, 17.
