PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding device capable of accurately determining a crease position and neatly folding a paper sheet when folding is performed using two pairs of folding rollers. SOLUTION: A pair of folding rollers comprising two folding rollers 621, 622 provided in tandem in a conveying passage q are separated at completion of folding step and the paper (s) formed with the crease is passed through the pair of folding rollers.
